- I’ve finally got the Keele bathroom cabinets finished so I pack them on a pallet ready to got to Evolved stone in Kyton.
- Jett invites some random mates over for dinner. Beau had never tried an oyster before and loved it.
- The next night we head to the BOOMERS v CHINA warm up game before the Olympics. Ive bought us premium seats right behind the Australian team. We wil 107 to 87. Masson Cox from Collingwood FC is there as he injured and cant play tomorrow.
- Next Day I have lightmoves over to quote upgrades to Keele ST. while I’m in the meeting Hugo takes a SHIT and rubs it all through the couch. I end the meeting early then go by a spot cleaner.
- Jett has a CAT scan on his face to determine if his nasal passages will affect the braces he wants to get.
- I struggle with Andrea club permit for his COMBI VAN.
- Then I’m off to a Caring for Chickens course at the Collingwood children’s farm.
JETT
- Radford drives up to Sydney to start the Showroom demo and pack down.
- Mimi and Denise come over for a Taco dinner.
- We hit the road for Nungurner before we head up Mt Hotham with the Burnhams. We have what I think is a black out but it’s actually the main break that’s popped with all the reverse cycle aircons on trying to super heat the house FAST. Good exercise for a real one (we need more candles, and the generator battery needs to be charged). I’ve bought everyone gumboots so we can all try the new walking track I found when I was here on my own with COVID19.
- The Burnhams arrive. Mad 1st night with NB! Raging.
- Radford smashes the showroom in 2 days!
MT HOTHAM
- Day 1– We stop to get wheel chains and Nic finds out his car front wheels cant take chains. The suspension is too close to the wheel and wont allow it.
- We arrive right on check in. Hmm its not the greatest place we’ve hired but I was the last one available. Racks of Lamb for dinner after we hire ski gear. Note: make sure you book 3 days in advance for a fitting so you receive 30% off.
- Jennifer has baby number 4
- Day 2 – and im on driver duties. I drop NB and the 3 eldest kids off to hit the slops. Then come back for Tan, Leo and Hugo and take then tobogganing. Hugos not impressed so we head back to dinner plane for a snow fight. I teach Leo how to snowboard inside. I clean out the fire place.
- We discover the drying room heater doesn’t work and call for help. The service guy can get it to work either. We don’t get a replacement heater till the morning so all the kids gloves and boots are wet! Luck I dried everything else in front of the fire!
- Day 3 – Container arrives in Sydney for the showroom lights were keeping.
- We have to buy new gloves for the kids and swap out the wet boots with dry ones. I do the same as yesterday (drop offs) then come back to take Tanya for a ski at the dinner plane beginners slop while Leo watches Hugo (sleeping). A few falls and Tanyas got it. I take Leo up the mountain for his first-time snowboarding. He’s a natural and picks it up straight away (little legend).
- We decide to go out for dinner as I’ve got the shits with the kitchen and its ancient stove and oven.
- Paul scores a massive green couch from a night club and swaps it for all dead stock of spot lights.
- Day 4 – Tanya finaly gets her photo opportunity. Its stopped raining and the sun comes out. It dropped well below zero last night so everything is frozen and icy. Not great skiing conditions. Leo is killing it. Im amazed how good he is by day 2 of snowboarding.
- Tanya tries the beginners slop again but its so icy she falls and hurts herself.
- We go out for dinner again.
- Day 5 – Off course it snows overnight. Fresh snow for the morning were leaving. The Burnhams decide to head straight home.
- I get an ear bud stuck in my ear and pull it out back in Nungurnere with 3M VHB double sided tape.
- We stop at the Tambo Winery for Chardonnay and some red. The wine maker gives me Sauvignon Blanc by accident. Next time make him open the box DEAN!
- I take Hugo fishing, help Tan clean out her car and do some tree pruning (bonsaiing), followed by a bon fire.
- looks like weve scored a fee circular couch from KING LIVING and its going to fit in the den at Chamouni!.
- Pauly does a trade. Spot lights for a green couch at Retropolois.
- I go back into SALES MOOD for DARKON.
- Nicole does a quick pop up Cashmere shop at Waterloo. Leo and I do a letter box drop on scooters.
- Jett goes wild again and Nanny has a kitchen fire.
- I get up at 4am to catch a flight to Sydney and here a crash on the crn of Keele and Gold St. Some scum has stollen a scooter smashed it into the back of Land Rover and done a runner. I missed him by 10 seconds!
