7am – up with excitement and get straight to work making custom wire trace. Double hooks with 1 mtr of trace so we can busted up on teeth or shark skin.
10am – snorkelling with turtles straight out the front. You can dive down next to them and there not even fazed.
11.30am – early lunch so we can hit the water just on high tide.
1pm – lose my favorit lure trawling with Tanya and Leo 😔
1.30pm – head out to our favorite bommie to fish for shark. Hook up a great spangled emperor straight away. The sharks start circling with the emperor hanging over the side but there not taking our bait. After some more catch and release with some berly we’re IN. Massive reef shark. James is on the go for 5 minutes then it goes under the boat and BANG it’s off! Bummer. No more hook ups after that so we decided to night fish off the beach.
8pm – catch a salmon and I cut it up for shark bait. NO LUCK!
9.30pm – I’m wrecked and off to bed.
