Caravan of Courage / Part 2 – Day 41 – Wed 27th Nov / Monkey Mia

7am – were up but going slow. Tanya has planned out a day and we need to get to Monkey Mia fast if we’re going to make the dolphin feeding. They are only allowed to feed 2 dolphins, 3 times a day and its on dolphin time. Yesterday it started at 7am and was all over by 8am.

8am – were off. Kids melt down so we have to stop.

8.30am – we arrive to good news the dolphins have only just arrived for the 1st feed which we narrowly miss.

8.45am – sit down for the buffet breakfast at the caravan park which is more like a resort.

9am – 2nd feeding and Tan is picked out of 50+ people to hand feed the dolphins. You can take a friend so she takes Jett. The Lucky ones.

10.15am – we board a catamaran to go in search of dugongs. Its purpose built, large and spacious so its Very comfortable. We see dolphins, turtles, dugongs and sea snakes.

12pm – now the fun begins. The skipper drops a net out the back and you can hop in the water and get dragged behind the boat. Leo and I do it 1st then Tan and Jett follow. What a great way to end a tranquil cruze.

1.30pm – a lazy lunch in the caravan park restaurant.

2pm – utilise there massive pool. The boys and I play spring board off daddys shoulders.

3.30pm – Stop at small lagoon on the way back. Its an NFZ, no fly zone for the drone so we head to the other side where kite surfers are jumping from the pastry over land into the lagoon. She flys but I forget to press record! I’ll.come back!

6pm – pub dinner with the Mcdonalds at the old bar. Its full of memorbilia and a giant stuffed cod. Food was ok in a relaxed atmosphere.

8.30pm – Rummikub championship

10pm – Out
