Caravan of Courage / Part 3 – Day 29 – 27th April 2021 / Ceduna to Mambrey Creek

Yesterday durring our travel I notice the fringe is flashing which means it’s off! I’ve been running it on gas while we move as the 12volt Anderson plug on the front of the van has been wired 5 and never worked since we left 3 years ago. So I swap to the other bottle which is empty too. Lucky I discover this now as we would have got to Mambrey and not been able to cook! I also need AB Blue so I’m off to the servo for all kinds of fuel.

No swap no GO GAS anywhere in Ceduna but luckily the caravan park refills bottles. I notice a local made oyster tray. $30 cash only so I hunt for every last cent of cash we have and get there, just. Might look these metal spinners up when I get back to work to make lights with.

The Food land was impressive. And so we’re the local oysters. Freshly shocked every morning at the oyster farm only 40 minutes down the road. YUM. $14 A DOZ SO I BUY 2.

Were super late due to time difference and sleep in. We hit the road at 10am!

We stop for Lunch in Wudinna and hit the bakery. This place is roughly half way across Australia. When we fill up next we’re in Kimba which is the same name we have given the defender. The servo has all sorts of curries so we buy dinner as we know its going to be a late arrival.

Mambrey is as beautiful as always. It’s roo-ocklock so I drive in slow. There everywhere. Unhitch set up and light the fire. Heaven.
