- Sandringham yacht club for the 1st day of the sailing season (the open day). I use the ramp for the 1st time. We have a great day on the water in excellent conditions, cruising past the commodore and hanging out with Drew and the family. Kids on the jumping castle and tying balloon animals. The band is rocking so I hire them for the Darkon Christmas party.

- I detail up ‘the rock’ stone bollard and move on a really prototype carved in a single piece of solid stone.
- Paul, Radford Matty and I have a senior management meeting about the next 5 – 10 years at Darkon (thanks Graham)
- Jett has his 13th Birthday party at Luna Park and I take his local Collingwood crew down town in the Lincoln.
- I Carve a pumpkin for Leo who rejects it 2 days later when it starts to grow mould. Leo goes nuts decorating the house and demands something Halloween every time we leave the house!
- I treat myself to a new fishing tackle box
- Loving my new Avocado and poached egg breakfasts.
- Moose shows me how to trick the Raymarine into opening a web browser.
- I buy an airless spray gun for DARKON and go nuts to finish painting the Goniophotometer room.
- Jett’s gets Jordan 4 Oreo’s for his birthday and we do Teppanyaki for his birthday dinner.
- The Darkon Laser blows up and needs 2 new replacement IPG Laser modules. I crack it with Industrial laser who sack the only guy that can replace them for me and have to fly someone in from IPG Korea.
- We go to the flower drum for YeaYeah’s 100’th Birthday.
- We get a new Lane way.
- Christy TB comes over to meet Hugo
- We pop down to Nungurner to pick up Daisey the discoverer and bring her back to Melbourne to clean out and SELL! (Sad)
- I plan an epic 6 week Caravan trip for next June / July 2023

- Take Paul and Adz fishing. We catch squid but no snapper or King fish.
- Leo turns 9 yeas old. He gets a ‘hover board’ and a weighted Yamaha pf70 keyboard. We hit ??? for his birthday dinner.
- I get ready for the spring racing carnival. It pisses rain.
- Boat goes back for more work. Cover, stone guard and rod holders.
- Darkon is a finalist in 2 categories for the Hume business awards.
- Laser cutter catches fire
- Radford builds the stage in 1 week!
- Bollard 1:50 model is finished
- Matty and I take Jeff Dargan for lunch at Rockpool and i meet Carl Stefanovic
- New suit. Everything is falling off me.
- I pick Rick up from the airport and start a 4 day endless bender. We hit dinner Sunday night then I drive 8 yours return to Bamstone in Port Fairy. Ouch. Then dinner at Atlantic. We catch up with Hatem. Then Tuesday at the Melbourne cup in the Ladbrokes corporate box and finish it off by doing an all nighter at Paulie’s! OOOOFFFFFF.
