- Another Hot Air Balloon close encounter.
- Hugo finds a new way to get up onto the kitchen bench with Jessie girl.
- We head off to Nungurner for Melbourne Cup long weekend. Main aim is to get prepared for Bushfire season which is predicted to be bad.
- I look to get started on the gutters, but the weather stops me short.
- Bat-brothers meeting for tree trimming.
HUGOS 2nd BIRTHDAY
- We launch the boat for Hugos 2nd birthday lunch. We head up the north arm to hide from the wind. Then we hit the barrier landing. What a great day. Happy birthday my son HUGO. I love you dearly.
- Rain kicks in again so we have a movie night. We watch the castle to help Jett learn about parliament and legal proceedings (I.N.S. Individual’s and Society). I work on my photo wall.
- Pauly is staying at the Radford’s as I got a full house with the Nyhus family coming up today. We go to check out his block and make a plan to drop a tree in the middle. The Radford’s find a baby turtle on there block.
- Pauly and I take Hugo for a short boat trip. He loves the boat so much.
- I get prepped for a hotpot dinner and pop into Bairnsdale with Leo for some Charcoal and supplies. Naturally I drop in on JT. Luka serves me up some slow roasted beef. YUM YUM.
- Leo and I drop some flowers off for Mika with a Collingwood premieres can of Carlton draught (RIP dad). I’ve missed out on a plot next to Dad. To slow!
- The Nyhus family arrive and we get stuck into a hot pot.
- Usual incident with the golf buggy. Jett chasing Leo and he clips the rock wall. Steering rods are super weak on this model.
- I take the Nyhus family for a boating day out. We go fishing 1st followed by sightseeing for seals and dolphins. Then we hit lakes for big bear doughnuts. On the way back we gather some muscles and Tania Nyhus falls in the drink.
- The next days is CUPDAY, and we have big plans to go snapper fishing with my neighbour Mark. We catch I bit of everything but only 1 snapper big enough to keep. Unfortunately, the Nyhus family had to leave early to help with funeral arrangements.
- Mark and I do a bit of damage to the trailer trying to pull my boat out in Nungurner.
BACK TO WORK
- Radford’s grand plan kicks in hard. Straight on the tools after catch up meetings. We Crain in 2 x 1 ton I beams using block and tackle hanging from the roof. Goods lift pushed to the limits with tons of timber too……
- Fresh caught snapper and flathead for dinner.
- Leo helps me clean the glass roof and make a shopping list for upgrades.
- I go shopping for a black Friday special to replace our failing caravan coffee machine.
- I get the Lincoln out for Jetts birthday BASKETBALL game at Margret caught arena. We have court side seats right behind the team. Melbourne united are behind most of the game then we storm home for the win. Great game and great day. Next time don’t bother parking at the game. It takes 2 hours just to get out of the car park. Kinda cool in a Lincoln with the tunes blasting though! We get home and there is a laneway party on the go.
- I get the boat out and tack Adrian and Paul snapper fishing. Its my 1st time trying to catch snapper during the day in port Philip Bay on a major bite time. We only get 1 keeper. Stick to dawn fishing!
- The Mezzanine build continues
- 1 of the neighbors complains about the noise kids make when playing in the lane! We have to move all play equipment due to public liability council statement. Sux!
- I clean a space for the caravan in the DARKON carpark.
- I get task moving a massive storm water over flow pipe that would run straight through the VIP lounge.
- I grab Vin and we go visit my Vietnamese neighbors to ask If I can mount a bracket to his garage column for the basket ball hope in the lane so the kids can keep playing. (If the equipment is off the ground and mounted to a fence its not a council public liability). He says yes and later retracts is offer when his wife gets involved. SAD time for kids play in the lane.
- I take HUGO Christmas shopping at VIC MARKET and BCF
- Collingwood All-stars go on a winning streak.
- Clair and Jenifer join us for dinner.
NUNGURNER
- I take Adz down to Nungurner for a break from the CITY STRESS. We clean the gutters (I didn’t get to finish cup weekend) and work on the garden bead.
- We pick up a tipper full of landscaping redgum bark mulch and Adz spots finger line tress, so I start a separate orchard just for limes and outback veg.
- The new plum trees is already producing and the fruit is ripe.
- Jett gets suspended again and its his last chance so HES OUT. Not on my watch!
- I install a decent garden hose and we finish most of the garden beds.
- On the way home we hit heavy traffic and Adam panics. I drop him off and continue on to pick up the 4 GO KARTS for the Christmas party.
- Clifton Hill School Fair. Tanya is a volunteer on the flower crown store and ive got Hugo. Good catch up with Chris from Lump Sculpture .
- All stars win their 2nd game in a row.
- Marks 50th in Clifton Hill. I party with a cat toy.
- Catch up with Justin at Brodriggy to write up an Agenda for my CGS meeting tomorrow.
- CGS meeting goes for 90mins, and I get a bit heated at the end. Were at a stale mate. TBC….
SYDNEY SEND OFF
- Straight into, presentations followed by back-to-back lunch and dinner meetings. 4 epic days.
- During which I’m assisting Tan and Justin with correspondence to CGS re Jett being asked to leave.
- Dinner with Janson IKE 1st night, Lunch with Rick, Dinner with FIP then SKS.
- WOW what a month!!!!
