It’s been pouring all night and the forecast was ‘rain easing’ but we have no such luck. I’ve never had to pack down in constant rain so get out my emergency wet Wether gear from my tool kit and get to work. It takes a good 2 hours in the rain.
The forecast for Denmark is even worse. Gale force winds and constant rain. It reminds me of the first 4 days when we left Melbourne. Getting blown across lanes and having to go the back roads just to get to Geelong and off load some toys. This time I’m no where nere as heavy however the 100 bottles of wine are making a difference!
We stop for lunch in Nanup. Bakery makes great pies, pasties and sausage rolls.
We get to Denmark at 3.30pm. The caravan park is 10kms out of town on Ocean Beach road next to wilsons inlet. It’s gor everything the kids could won’t but to phone or internet reception. It’s nice not having it as a distraction but hard to plan any activities.
We head back into town for supplies and decided to try the local department store. I’ve been caravanning in a pair of loafers or thongs and Tan is craving fluffy boots so we buy some new shoes. I find the ugliest gumboots ive ever seen seen that are so comfortable I feel like I’m wearing fluffy boots.
Burgers with the lot this time and a movie in bed while it rains constantly.
