A nice slow start with our 1st hot breakfast of the trip. Crab omelet followed by a trip into town for supplies to do another picnic lunch. Then I pack all the beach hear and we head for Greens Pool.
We get there and there are cars everywhere. But true to our normal style as we’re pulling in everyone starts leaving for lunch so it’s relatively quiet and we somehow find a car park right near the stair to the beach.
We start walking down and you get your first glimpse of this amazing place. There is a huge smoth rock to the left with people sunbathing on it with the main beach to the right. A natural break wall of smooth round borders keeps the waves out so it literally is a calm bay just like a pool. We set up on the beach and start snorkelling. Jett heads for the main rock in the middle of the bay and makes friends. I snorkel out with Leo on my back.
This place is high on the list of place you must visit. Someone next to Tanya says it’s as good as coral bay however I prefer snorkelling coral then rock and it has more sea life then here, however this pool feels so safe and sound there is a sense of calming and relaxation that coral Bay doesn’t have. It’s a must see destination. Oh and elephant Rocks just 100 meters away is just as nice.
On the way out we just make it to the meadery before it closes. It makes everything you can think of from honey. We grab honey ice creams and I add to the wine collection with honey wines.
Tanya makes a bolognese and mixes in some of the sauce I kept from the slow cooked lamb a week ago. Wow. It’s the best I’ve ever had !!!! We watch a bit of footy in the camp kitchen in hope Collingwood would get up over west Coast while we’re in WA but we crash and burn….bummer.
