Today is our 2nd last day in Esperance and we’ve been looking forward to them. Today and tomorrow are predicted mid 20s and partly cloud. We have 2 more targets on the list and Today we’re going to visit what’s been voted Australia’s most beautiful beach, lucky Bay in …… national Park. We had originally booked to camp here for 3 nights but when we cancelled recently when the WA board shut to VIC again we sore no hope of getting it back as this place is super popular.
We arrive and notice the signs? We’re fully booked , dont ask! The caravan park looks great but do note this is a national.park so no power and no showers just camp kitchens and thunder boxes.
We drive out onto the beach and we agree this place is extremely beautiful. Bright white sand and crystal clear water. We open the car doors and bolt for the water. Lucky we did. People start waving us out of the water. 2 x 3mtr long bronze whalers have come into the bay chasing salmon. There local to the area but the ranger has to do there part and warn everyone. No you can swim at your own risk.
Everyone starts to pack up and leave but true to the pictures we’ve seen a friendly kangaroo comes for a visit on the beach. This place truly is heaven. We hike to one end, play some beech cricket then pack up and head home.
This could be a problem.
We leave Sunday and will be at the WA / SA boarder on Monday. Shit
