Wow what a drive. I start the day dropping a token into a cold muddy shower and then were off by 7.15am. The kid were crazy from the get go then calmed down for the last half of the trip.
We get to the SA / WA boarder. There is a sign say no entry if your from Perth but no one is there to check so we cruze on through.
We stop at the great Australian bite and take some drone shots at Bunda Cliff. It’s a free camp site on the edge of a cliff. Amazing sunsets apparently but way to scary for the kids.
Were heading against time and going to be late past 6pm ETA in to the foreshore caravan park then we hit the unexpected. There is an SA quarantine check point but it’s not at the boarder, it’s at Ceduna. We give the quarantine man all our fresh fruit and veg then wait for the police to check us through. Thankfully I’ve done all 4 our our declarations which the cops are very pleased about. Looks like someone was from Perth as a car is pulled over and put into the carpark with the occupants being escorted inside!
As soon as we arrive (6.45pm) its like a sleeping volcano erupts. Kids go mental running around the caravan park screaming and laughing. It’s small and very clean and after dinner we all have showers in the most modern amenities ive seen. The pool looks great and so does the camp kitchen. Clean neat concrete pads and gravel. Very nice caravan park. If we come back to Ceduna I’m Deffinatly staying here. And it’s right next door to the Pub on the foreshore.
Natural we head next door for dinner. I’ve eaten here with chewy before. Tan and I splash out on the specials board. Half an SA Cray salad and local mussel spaghetti. It’s so go ive eaten most of it before I remember to snap a photo.
Leo’s in over drive. Time to put these mini men to bed.
