Day 44 – Mahbili festival – Sat 1 Sep

A lazy start in the park by the pool. Caught up with Andy Perry then head for more magpie goose at the festival.


Mahbilil Festival is an annual explosion of music, dance, bushfoods, art, workshops celebrating Kakadu culture in Jabiru township.
Mahbilil (named after the cooling afternoon breeze) occurs in the Kurrung season (Aug-Sept) and brings people from around Kakadu & West Arnhem, as well as Darwin, Katherine and lots of tourists as well.
