• Tanya is too sick to drive so it’s just Jett, Leo and myself isolating for the 1st 3 days in Nungurner. We build our classic 1980’s TAMIYA RC Cars. Jett takes the Grasshopper, Leo takes the Hornet and I’ve got a Super-Hot-Shot which I put aside to help Leo build his Hornet.  
  • Winter Kicks in HARD and the state records record low temperatures.  
  • Pauly gets a bit lonely at home and buys a kitten. Adam calls it Boots after Bootsy Collins 
  • We all go and visit Mika on this 3rd anniversary of his passing, peacefully in Nungurner. I finally bring myself to finish designing his tombstone with both Linda and my comments on 2 sides of his pyramid. I hope you like it dad.  
  • We try to keep Jett on track to finish his assignments for school during COVID (Art history and violin). Feels like home schooling lockdown again! 
  • I go and checkout a 2nd hand table saw Radford found for us to rip plastic strips with at DARKON.  
  • The price of fuel hits $2.30 per liter at an Iceberg Lettuce skyrockets to $12 each. Cos lettuce still $3 each so go figure.  
  • I have a blood test and Telli helth appointment with my doctor. My diet has worked! I’ve now lost 17Kgs since Feb and my LDL cholesterol has come down to 4.8 for 5.5.  
  • Tan and the Kids head home and I stay on for the Queens birthday long weekend.  
  • I decide to do A comic book marketing campaign in Arc magazine.  
  • I’m loving my Korean / Japanese style omelets for breakfast.  
  • I wire up the main dining room table with a power board to minimize all the cables running all over the floor and to showcase the collection of lights I have in Nungurner.  
  • Pauly joins me in Nungurner for the long weekend. Boots and Jessie girl have a ball.  
  • I judge the F-Lamp competition and give a presentation. Natural I buy 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners’ entries for the Nungurner collection.  
  • I put my application in for membership and Sandringham yacht club.  
  • Dads apartment goes under the hammer and is passed in with not a single bid! The market is going backwards fast as interest rates rise to keep up with the record inflation Australia has seen at 7%.  
  • The Hull arrives and run down to 28 South and unpack it for them. Wow im so happy and amazed at the same time. I cant wait to surprise the kids. Tan busted me from a silly comment I made in last months blog! Bummer.  
  • Radford and I move switches and power points to make way for a new King size bed and bedhead in Collingwood. We also install the motorized blind.  
  • Adz and I go and watch Justin Whelehan play with a Scare band called? 
  • Justin gets mum out of Magistrates court appearance and we celebrate by shaving our beards into mustache’s for Magnum PI work. Lunch turn’s into dinner and records at Adams place. What a day.  
  • I pack up the drum kit and get it into the trailer to take to Nungurner.  
  • I have the 1st office Golf Buggy / Jurassic park Factory tour with Cox Architects.  
  • Our new rug arrives for Hugo to play on Infront of the couch.  
  • Jett gets a mullet hair cut 
  • We hit the winter solstice bonfire at Collingwood children’s farm 
  • I build the twins a massive doll house for there birthday at Luke and Tammie’s then hit the MCG for Collingwood V GWS. We kick 22 behinds but still win by 10 points.  
  • We hit the road back to Nungurner for School holidays.  
  • Radford and I tackle the epic Table saw removal. Its so heavy we have to set up the crane to lift in onto the tipper trailer.  
  • Kayaker’s enjoy paddling out the front with a pod of Dolphins.
  • Darkon finished the financial year with its highest Annual turnover ever.
